Meet Brody and Jana-Brody and I go waaaay waaaay back to when we both worked for University of Phoenix together on the same team (back when I was the financial aid guru…yes, I just made up my own job title there…). I remember hearing all about Brody’s sweet wife Jana, and I was so glad to finally meet her YEARS later! She’s probably even nicer than how he described her

So through the miracle that is Facebook, I heard from Brody (who was very bad at keeping in touch otherwise, I will have you know), who had a task for me: they wanted to adopt a baby, and they needed photos that would help them get noticed on their adoption profile. They wanted something that showed some personality and would help them get noticed. We ventured out into the heat, and I hope that we succeeded!!!

I don’t know what I said here, but it was OBVIOUSLY hilarious.

Fact: I just celebrated my 7 year anniversary of my last day of work at UOP Online on September 1st. I know that because my water broke at 3am September 2nd, 2004, and I had my little Abbie…and never returned.

I shot Chelsea and Scott’s engagement session last year, but was too pregnant to shoot their wedding…like going into false labor every couple of days…needless to say it was better I didn’t shoot it, but I was oh so sad!

Chelsea and Scott are cool and funny-I laughed so much, and you’re about to find out why.

This is Chelsea’s “model pose,” and I know Scott is off to the side saying, “I REALLY like that dress.”

*gasp* muscles!

What began as a pull up competition ended as the Hang Tough event on American Gladiators.

“Check out my husband-the juggler! YEAH!”

True story: that is Chelsea’s wedding bouquet.

They sent me over a photo of this one that they wanted to create-it is hard to get a good heart, let me tell you

WEEDS can be COOL. And crouching in the road can be DANGEROUS.

Fact: Everyone should do an anniversary session. That is all.

Light at the End of the (Wind) Tunnel

Yesterday, despite the wind and rain, I was able to shoot a few shots of one of my favorite families. Fantastic neighbors, preschool teacher, babysitter, friends-they fit all of those categories, which is hard to find in one family, let me tell you! Our session was cut a bit short due to the weather, but there were still lots of fun shots, and here are some of them!

Tracy and Sean are a ton of fun, easygoing, and up for anything! My kind of couple! Can’t wait for their wedding on…can you guess by looking through their photos?

Yep! 11/12/11-and I am sure it was hilarious watching me try to set these numbers up. Curse you, wind.

Fact: During this shoot, we determined that being a professional bike model would be really difficult, although Sean already claims to be one.

I LOVE winter. Not just for the cool temperatures and the fantastic holiday season, but for the chance I get to catch up with the wonderful families that I get to work with over the years. I truly love seeing and photographing each and every single one of them! And not dying of heat stroke while doing it

Sorry for the lack of photos from the last post, but I am sure you found plenty of eye candy to check out on those other blogs! So what have I been up to lately? Besides taking care of my cute little newborn (and her 2 other equally as cute siblings), this month has been about getting back into photography!

Here are a few quick ones from recent sessions (youngest to oldest!):
