Orinda & Lane | Mesa Temple Wedding Photography

Orinda and Lane are nothing short of awesome-I have nothing but nice things to say about the two of them and their inside jokes and amazing scrunched up nose laughs and her awesome LIME GREEN Converse (!) They were married at the Mesa Arizona Temple, which is my favorite place to shoot. Here are a few from their day:

YES!!!!! A girl after my own heart:

I said come at me however you want…they chose a race…Lane won by a foot…or maybe a leg.

They are both SUPER tall…this was illustrative of how short I felt :D

I would guess Rindy did hurdles at some point in her life???

LOVE:

We actually went back to the Temple because the Temple Christmas lights were up and we wanted to catch a few extra shots to show the festive season:

And of course the GORGEOUS sunset…but I think they were too preoccupied looking at each other to see it ;)

Congratulations, you guys! It was an absolute pleasure capturing your wedding day!

Sneak Preview for Ryan and Becky

Ryan and Becky were married yesterday at the Mesa Arizona Temple on the hottest day ever in the history of Arizona (according to us). Here are a few shots from their day, and entertainment for them as they sit and wait at the airport :)

Thankfully, Ryan was not injured after this jump, which would have probably ruined his honeymoon.

Becky, you were stunning!

Ryan, you were…sleepy.

This ring shot pretty much sums up our day…

And a creative use of the ice packs:

It’s not every day you get to meet (or photograph) an Apostle and his incredibly sweet wife!

Thanks, guys!

Fact: Arizona is hotter than the surface of the sun. Okay…maybe that isn’t QUITE a fact…

By Request…

…and because I really like the Fetters :)

A few from Curtis and Candace’s wedding day!

Candace looooooooooves her shoes.

This cute little jumping boy is Dax, who was in the family photos for exactly 57 seconds…before running away!

I can’t ever resist kids at weddings-they are always so adorable!

This little guy found a new home beneath the cake…

The kids were tearing up the dance floor!

First dance:

More cute kids on the dance floor:

Fact: This was the most interesting day at the Temple I have ever had. I will leave it at that.

Happy 10 Years!

I’ll never forget pointing him out on the dance floor that night. I told my friend, “I want to meet HIM.” Very uncharacteristic of me, as I was always the shy one. Dan, of course, was not shy, and was dancing like a crazy man on the floor (think…Elaine Benes but a little crazier). Something about him just made me want to meet him, not to mention that he was really really cute. We waited outside for him to come out, and then I said, “I’m surprised you had the energy to walk out of there.” “Walk out, I could run,” he said, taking off full sprint across the parking lot, never to be seen again (or so I thought).

My friends and I were frequent bowlers. There used to be a young adult bowling night in Mesa that we would attend nearly every Wednesday. Not that we were very good-I think my top score was like 67, but it was fun and we enjoyed it, and it was only $3. Assigned to the lane next to us was a rowdy group of guys, throwing the ball down the lane and just having a wild time. One guy in particular caught my eye, who was very good with the “spare ball,” which he would shot put down the lane, usually resulting (miraculously) in a spare. He was chatting up one of my friends, though, so I figured he was into her. It wasn’t until he got up for one of his turns and said to ME, “I bet you I can get a strike.” “What do you want to bet?” “I’ll bet you a date.” I agreed without much hesitation. He threw the ball…and it landed in the gutter. I guess he didn’t want to go out with me after all, I joked with him. He said to give him another chance to get the spare. He did, and it wasn’t until our second date that we realized that we had met before, or he had run away from me before. Apparently, he had been telling his friends that story about the dance for months and kept saying, “I hope I meet that girl again.” He did, and the rest is history. :)

I love my husband so much and am glad to have spent these past TEN years being married to him! That’s a whole decade-crazy! Here’s to many many more decades! :)

Long Story Short

…these were all shot in about 40 minutes at the Mesa, Arizona Temple. It was a whirlwind session, but these guys did awesome, and got a ton of images anyway!
