Sneak Peek and Good Luck!
You might remember Owen from a couple years ago. Owen was born with HLHS, a congenital heart defect. Well, he is growing up and is finally strong enough to go in for his first open heart surgery in California. His family has been waiting patiently for this moment, and without a doubt fearing this moment as well. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers throughout the week.
Owen is 100% boy and loves to crash his cars!
Andrea emailed and said she wanted lots of red hearts in her photos, so I grabbed some heart balloons earlier in the day…of course the wind decided to pick up!
Owen ripped his heart, and immediately wanted to fix it with tape. I absolutely love these next few images. I wish that tape could really cure a broken heart…

“You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack. But when my sister brought Doug home, I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack… it grew by one. So there… there were two of us in the wolf pack… I was alone first in the pack, and then Doug joined in later. And six months ago, when Doug introduced me to you guys, I thought, “Wait a second, could it be?” And now I know for sure, I just added two more guys to my wolf pack.”
