Soak Up the Sun

I commend any bride (or anyone, for that matter) who will brave this heat for their photos. It is brutal out there! BUT…you get fun summer shots like this one, which I LOVE.

This shot is perfect for them, too, because they’re moving to Maui after the wedding. What’s more Hawaiian than shaved ice?

Blue Jean Baby

Amid record breaking heat today, I shot Kira’s senior photos. She has crazy awesome style and model looks and she’s a dancer. Really, what more could I ask for? (Disclaimer: I might be making up the record breaking heat thing, but it was like 117 degrees and we had to load up on water mid-shoot!)

This is the little bit of wind that I LOVE in photos! Oh, and I love this make-shift dance outfit she came up with, which includes her tutu from when she was 9 years old. Loving the color!

This is my famous “laying flat on the ground” shooting style. FYI-you probably could really cook an egg on the sidewalks of Phoenix.

We dubbed her the urban Snow White because of this crazy cottage!

I can’t wait to show you the rest-fun times!

Can you find something that doesn’t belong? LOL

I love this shot! The kids weren’t necessarily into having their pictures taken yesterday, but this shot is so full of personality!

The Kids Aren’t Alright

I just read that drowning is the number one cause of death for children under 5 in Arizona.  That is shocking and upsetting.  Last year, there were 26 fatalities in Arizona alone from drowning.  If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen me mention ISR in my updates.  Both of my kids went through this program, and while expensive, at the ages of 2 1/2 and 1 respectively, Abbie and Brooklyn could swim.  It is worth the money to know that if they fell in the water, they would have a good chance at survival.  ISR teaches kids not only to swim in their suits, but also in their clothes, most notable winter clothes with shoes on.  It is tremendous to witness the learning process for kids in this program.  Here is Brooklyn, now 1 1/2, practicing her floating skills in our local pool.

That’s What She Said.

What can I say about Tiffany and Brent other than 1.  They are awesome.  2.  They are hilarious.  3.  They are hilariously awesome.

Here’s a little preview of our awesome sweaty engagement session from yesterday (it was like 112 degrees out!)

They were playing and joking around the entire time-my kind of couple!

Check out these gorgeous clouds!  The rain taunted us all day long, but never came, luckily!

Oh, and YES WE DID.  This usually hangs above my computer.  This is one of my favorite photos EVER.
