Okay, so before going to bed for some much needed sleep, I wanted to post up a quick sneak peek of Lauren and Layton’s fantabulous engagement session today. I pulled these into Lightroom today and holy smokes-I could not believe they nailed 99% of their photos-no joke! Here are just two really quick…lots more to come!

This little bundle of smiles and energy is Owen. You know upon meeting the Simmons family that their little guy is special in many ways. Like Bela and Lily, Owen has a very special heart. I never realized how many babies are born with heart issues, and how trying and hard it can be on their families, not to mention the poor little babies! Owen is just 8 days younger than my little baby. He has an oxygen tube and a feeding tube right now, and despite all of that, he is full of smiles and a is real joy to his parents and his sister. It really hits home when I see families dealing with these tough medical issues with their tiny little ones. I feel blessed that I don’t have to go through it, and also the need to help these families that do. Without further ado, Mr. Owen-big blue eyes and a smile that never fades!
I really love this next image-I usually process photos with a lot of strong color, but this one is so soft-I love the way Owen is touching his mom’s face, and the soft light that is coming through the trees…
Kamryn is a sweetie! I love her eyes in this shot!
They brought some fun things with them for the shoot, including a pinwheel! Owen was mesmerized!
And a big red ball! I love that it’s as big as he is! I love this entire series as we rolled the ball back and forth!

This aspiring rock star is Annalynn, a cute girl that I had the pleasure of photographing last week! She absolutely loves music, and her little puppy, Rudy!
If she doesn’t make it as a rock star, I’m sure she could seek a career as a model-I love her amazing smile!!!

I was excited when Jessica came to me asking for some photos for her portfolio. She has a lot of punk rock style photos in there because of her look, but came to me for something a little different. She wanted to show a softer, more beautiful side to herself to balance out her portfolio. I love what we came up with!

I forgot to post this up yesterday, but I am am so excited to have celebrated my 9th wedding anniversary yesterday! Dan and I were married March 11, 2000 in the Mesa Arizona Temple, and I can’t believe how time has flown! Here is a quick photo of us leaving our reception way back when-we look so young!
This is from Lilyana’s 1st Birthday Party a few days ago. What an inspiration this little girl is! She has beaten the odds, and to me, this photo just says, “I’m tough enough to get through it all!” Check out those baby muscles!
