You Win, Nie Wins!

I was so fortunate to be able to donate 3 sessions to the Nie Recovery Garage Sale in Agritopia organized by my good friend, Carolyn Dike. The Faerber family was one of the winners of a free session to benefit the Nielson family who were in a terrible plane crash, and are still critically injured. The above image was my favorite and was also the image chosen by the family for the free metallic 8×10 print! It looked amazing on metallic paper!!!

Landon loves to hide in the covers-I love that you can only see his little feet!

He is also quite the dancer!!! SO cute!

Thank you guys for donating your time and money to this important cause!

I am sad to report that this is the last session I will ever shoot at Joe’s Farm Grill. Unfortunately, they have started charging photographers quite a high fee to use their grounds, and I would have to pass that fee onto my customers if I continued to shoot there-something I do not want to do.

I am Grateful to be a Mom.

Sometimes, I think the month of November gets skipped over. I mean, Christmas hit the stores before Halloween was even over. Candy and presents are great and all, but I have been very reflective on my blessings lately, first and foremost, my family. I decided that I’m going to try to make a post every day this month expressing my gratitude for the things I have. I think all too quickly things can be taken away, so it’s important to be thankful in the moment for how lucky you are. And I am SO lucky. : )

To Abbie:

I love that you wear your swimsuit all day every day. Even in the winter.
I love that you spontaneously break into song at the top of your lungs.
I love that when I tell you that you are beautiful, you say, “I know, mommy.”

To Brooklyn:

I love that when you wake up, you always have a smile on your face.
I love how excited you get when you see us.
I love that you love your sister so much and I hope you always do.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Dear Husband,

You are so good at coming up with ideas for Christmas on your own, but I thought I’d throw some out there as well because I know that you will never sift through the millions of Etsy items to find the gems. Here is what I covet:

(From top left: T-shirt by Killed in a Dream, Necklace by The Ardent Sparrow, Journals by Blackbird Letterpress, Art Print by Dudadaze, Decal by HutchMe)Some of these might come into my hands before Christmas!

Michael + Danielle >> Engaged

Ahhh…my sweet little blog…how I have missed thee! Seriously, though! What a slacker I am when it comes to my blog! I have so many sessions to share and so little time…

First up, my DISNEYLAND ENGAGEMENT SESSION!!! Michael and Danielle are awesome-I didn’t even know that he proposed to her at Disneyland before I suggested it as an engagement session spot. He had the ring out on Space Mountain ready for the photo op on the ride, box open and everything…and the cameras weren’t working. SO…he had the box open on Splash Mountain ready for the photo op on the ride, box open and everything and CLICK! When they looked at their photos after the ride, she saw that he was holding something and when she turned around he was down on one knee. LOVE IT!!!! These two are so fun from their jumping skills to their kung fu skills-I had a blast! Even though it got dark before we were done, we did some awesome night shots to end our session.

I said “jump” and they said “heck yes we will!”
