Drumroll Please…

I know everyone has been on the edge of their seats, biting their fingernails, anxiously awaiting the arrival of our butterflies. Well, at least that’s the theatrical version I picture in my head, but I’m not sure that’s how it plays out in real life. Four of the five have emerged, sadly the last one might be a casualty due to our cats attacking the butterfly house all last night…

Here are some shots of them before they were released into the wild this morning.

July 23, 2008 - 7:14 am Michelle - They're here!!!!

July 18, 2008 - 5:56 pm JENN - I bet Abbie was real excited

July 16, 2008 - 12:02 am Rachael Earl - Just an update-all 5 butterflies came out okay! Although, when I went to release the last one, it wouldn't get off my hand, so I did one of those motions with my hand like they do in the movies with birds to release them, and it kind of flew off my hand...and promptly fell into the gravel. It was still moving, so I hope it was okay.

July 15, 2008 - 7:59 pm Becka (Studio222 Photography) - Aw yay! I was acutally waiting excitedly for them and hoping nothing bad happened. I remember how excited I used to get when my mom had nature things like this for me. We hatched praying mantises (manti?) and let them go in my grandpa's rose garden and it was one of my favorite childhood memories. :)

July 14, 2008 - 2:33 pm Tiffany Izatt - Yay, so exciting!
