Sweet Abbie in Bisbee
Thanks to Kadie Pangburn for finding this sweet spot in Bisbee. We stayed the night on Sunday, and then I took these photos before we left. Abbie LOVED this umbrella, so I had to include it in the shots.

Bisbee Trash the Dress
Where was I this weekend? Bisbee, Arizona for a Trash the Dress session. I think I’m addicted. It was so much fun to meet a ton of Arizona photographers and take out some awesome models who were there to help us make artistic images. Here are a few, and I’ll post more later. There were so many that I loved! If there are brides out there interested in this type of session, please email me!
…And Baby Makes Five!
I posted up this little guy’s brother and sister yesterday, but he had some adorable shots! I just love photographing newborns-pure sweetness. Welcome, baby Ryder!
Ryder has the cutest BIG bellybutton!
I had to show the two bald heads! Classic!
Baby feet are just too cute-so are toddler feet, too!
I love this shot of the whole family-everyone is doing their own thing, but the baby is right on looking at the camera!
Drumroll Please…
I know everyone has been on the edge of their seats, biting their fingernails, anxiously awaiting the arrival of our butterflies. Well, at least that’s the theatrical version I picture in my head, but I’m not sure that’s how it plays out in real life. Four of the five have emerged, sadly the last one might be a casualty due to our cats attacking the butterfly house all last night…
Here are some shots of them before they were released into the wild this morning.
Two Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed
Yesterday, I had the honor of photographing one of my best friend’s new babies. At the same time, however, we did photos of her other two kids, who are full of energy and absolutely adorable. What do you do with an energetic (almost) four year old? Let him jump on the bed, and you’ll win him over in a heartbeat! Oh, and their little girl has grown up so much-into a beautiful little lady! I absolutely adore these photos of her!
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Today I decided to change my logo, site, and blog to add more color and fun to them-two of the things that I strive for in my photos. I hope you guys enjoy the new look-I spent today working on it, and I, for one, am loving the new “me”!
Stress…and Success!
And now for more in the interesting lives of our caterpillars…
Surprisingly, these things are pretty dang fascinating! They also happen to reside right next to my computer, so I see them a lot of the day…
Today, they were transferred from their tiny little caterpillar canister to their butterfly “garden.” What stress for me! I couldn’t imagine how heartbroken Abbie would be if I messed up and we never got any butterflies. Fortunately, the transfer went just fine, and in a few days we should see the result of our 2 weeks of waiting!
Abbie wanted to put them by her picture of a flower…a little motivation, maybe?
Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting
Abbie is taking karate, and as I mentioned before, is an orange belt already! She finally got her belt the other day to wear to class, and started practicing her moves in the kitchen. First is “Ni,” last is “Ichi,” and the middle I’ve determined to be “Get Down Tonight.”

I had to get a close-up of her super cute Oscar the Grouch pigtails (courtesy Target’s Dollar Section!). Dan was helping her remember her moves (while also trying not to get hit below the belt-Abbie’s favorite target).
Mitch Hedberg=Funniest Guy Ever
Unfortunately, he overdosed on drugs, so we won’t be seeing anything new from him, but if you haven’t ever seen Mitch Hedberg, you should. Here are two of my favorites:
